SRENGTH THROUGH COMMUNITY
A single PVPer can kill two or three Retrievers, at best. Together, my Comrades and I can manipulate the market to make every Catalyst cost twice as much as it should. Of course, CODE wouldn't notice, with the return of its industrial arm, but who do you think they buy the raw materials from? What do you believe will happen if a hundred miners decided one day to sell veldspar for ten times the current rate?
Our most powerful tool is intelligence, both the education of our members, some of whom are economists, mathematicians and politicians, most of whom are simply quick witted individuals, and the intel our spies recover. We know a lot and the one thing that allows our agents to continue their intelligence gathering is that we rarely openly act on that intel. We have agents in the secure channels of most of the main factions in EVE (Brave Newbies and EVE Uni were not exactly hard to infiltrate. Goonswarm and Pandemic Legion, on the other hand, have a fifty-fifty chance of scamming any spy you send through their respective recruitment process.)
But this intel is useless from a military standpoint, we're not going to ambush their mining operations or target their industry arms, that is not what we do. Knowing what type of ships an alliance is building a lot of, who it's at war with, what kind of ships and modules their enemy would be interested in buying, where their staging areas are, how they run their SRPs, all of these tiny bits of information contribute to our economic might.
STRENGTH THROUGH KNOWLEDGE
THE WARDEN STARTED AS A JOKE, AS IT IS HOW I INTRODUCED MYSELF TO MY CURRENT PARTNERS AT FIRST. THE COMMUNIST IMAGERY IS A JAB AT THE NEW ORDER'S AND GANKERBUMPING'S USE OF WWII IMAGERY. I THINK THE SOVIET UNION IS A FAIRLY IRONIC AND REPRESENTATIVE PARADIGM OF WHAT IS CURRENTLY HAPPENING IN NEW EDEN, SO WE FIGURED, "HEY, MIGHT AS WELL ROLEPLAY SPACE COMMUNISTS!". IT'S MORE FUN THAN IT SOUNDS.
